I wasn't trying to look cutesy or anything like that. I was dressed for maximum comfort to tan and DANCE!

The Shot: Belvedere’s listening lounge at Coachella
Belvedere’s pool party drew in early revelers to the Bermuda Dunes listening lounge on Friday. Junior Sanchez spun, and Cut Copy dropped by to play some mini golf at the Spanish-style hacienda. Not a bad way to kick off the weekend. For more pool party photos, read on.

Okay. Time to get serious for a moment. On March 31st, San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow had attended the Giants vs. Dodgers baseball game at the Los Angeles Dodgers Stadium. After the game, he was brutally attacked by 2 Dodgers fans and hospitalized. The attack was unprovoked. He is suffering brain damage. Today, he remains in a medically induced coma so that his brain can heal.
I do not know Bryan Stow personally, but we are connected. We are both Giants fans. You are connected to him as well. He is another human being.
If you aren't aware, the rivalry between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers in the MLB is one of the biggest there is. However, the playing field is where it should end. I am all for fun and a bit of name calling, but the line needs to be drawn somewhere. Physically attacking others purely based on who you root for is inhumane.
Perhaps one of the most ironic and saddest bits of this case is the fact that Bryan Stow is a paramedic. His passion is to save the life of others. Now, because of 2 immature thugs, his life hangs by a thread. I can't fathom what his family is going through and the medical bills they are facing in the near future. I personally have already donated some money but if you haven't, you still can.
On May 5th, Pasta Pomodoro in San Francisco will be donating 20% of your bill (dine in as well as to go orders) to the Bryan Stow Fund
If you aren't located in San Francisco but would like to make a donation, you can do so
hereSFPCU is deeply saddened by the tragic event that took place on March 31st, and we send our well wishes to Bryan Stow, his family and friends. Bryan Stow is a Santa Clara County AMR Paramedic who is currently in a medically induced coma after being assaulted at a Giants-Dodgers game in Los Angeles, CA. A support fund has been set up at the SF Police Credit Union for Bryan Stow by his family.

Yayyy you did the tag! I love your writing :D
ReplyDeleteLoved all your Coachella pics! Next year, hopefully I will be there!
Those dudes that beat Bryan up are just ghetto gangsters who don't have the right to even be associated with the Dodgers or even with LA. They need to get their asses beaten up too.
Those fries look AMAZEBALLLSSS! And thanks for posting the info for Bryan Stow. My BF and I will be donating :)
ReplyDeleteYou looked like you had a blast on the Sister's Days! Still looking pretty and in shape like always ;]
ReplyDeleteI agree... name calling and stuff can be fun but only at the stadium, no physical attacks should of happened, especially after the game! That's just looking for trouble. I hope his hospital bills aren't high, shouldn't the "two thugs" be paying for his hospital bills? So immature...
BF is a Giants Fan. It's the Bay Area in him. As for me, I'm just disgusted with what was done to him. So either way, we're more than happy to support the Stows. Those jerks will who did this to him will get what's coming. KARMA!
ReplyDeleteAs for ArcLight - No leather seats, but oversized, plush and reclining. And yes to 21+ screenings ;) Go next time you're in LA! Perfect for date night!
you did the tag! i like your favorite quote! and coachella looks like so much fun! i am jealous to the millionth degree, but glad you got to represent the rest of us and got to experience! it's like a weekend of heaven, *proceeds to drool over fries*
ReplyDeleteBabe, you look so fresh and pretty even in the midst of all the sweaty, humid ickiness I heard it was at Coachella =) I'm definitely envious of your experience there, it must have been amazing to witness the sights and scenes taking place around you.
ReplyDeleteBut on a different note, I just can't believe things like that still happen! Bryan sounds like he was a great guy and no one should have to endure what he went through. I hope justice will be served swiftly and severely. I don't want to sound like a hateful person, but those two ppl ought to be subjected to the death penalty. I take no pity upon such hateful, despicable killers.
I'm still super duper you were at Coachella and I wasn't! Haha! Glad you had fun though!
ReplyDeleteno pictures of churros? lol
ReplyDeleteOMG *DROOL* is all i can say to what must've tasted like a heavenly orgasm in your MOUTH...those beer battered garlic fries w/ crab and aioli sauce sound simply AMAZING~!! If only there's a place that sells them around here! Your pics from Coachella look like so much fun--knowing your infectious fun-loving personality, I bet you had a blast! Actually, I know you did bc you said you were having withdrawals! xD I wish I could've gone to Coachella!! My bf really wanted to see Kanye perform...that is insane that he performed nonstop for an hour something! CRAZY! You look so beautiful and radiant in all the pics! Not sweaty or greasy at all! Sadly, humidity and blazing hot sun and me do not mix. :(
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your handwriting! It is PERFECT! hehe I wish I could write nice like that! I actually love your writing, Angie's and Giang's as well! hehe guess I just love pretty girly writing and just not my own xD
